Get Married at Corolla

One thing couples are doing is renting a big oceanfront house, or several houses in a row, to house all their friends and family. Many couples hold their wedding ceremony right on the beach then throw a reception back at the house, either indoors or by the pool. Several of the vacation rental companies even have wedding planners on staff to assist couples with this type of event!

Other popular options include getting married on the grounds of the Whalehead Club or the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Both of these sites rent out their incredibly inviting lawns for wedding ceremonies and receptions. At sunset, both locations are magical. Tents can be set up in case of rain.

The Corolla Chapel in old Corolla village is a much-coveted wedding spot, and the Currituck Club has a marvelous space for receptions. If you’re looking for somewhere besides rental homes for your guests to stay, there are two large hotels, the Inn at Corolla Light and the Hampton Inn.
